Designed by the legendary Danish designer Piet Hein and the Swedish designer Bruno Mathsson in 1968, the Fritz Hansen table series includes the Superellipse, Supercircular, Circular, and Rectangular tables, all iconic and classic timeless pieces. The Superellipse table was inspired by designer Piet Hein’s solution to a traffic problem at Sergels Torg in Stockholm: a super elliptical roundabout.

Constructed from a Fenix laminated and wood tabletop with a steel base, the table design is characterised by its unique super-ellipse shape, which combines elements of an ellipse and a rectangle, creating a distinctive and elegant appearance. Thanks to the innovative use of Fenix Laminate, the table surface features a super-matt and soft appearance, is anti-fingerprint, and enables thermal healing of superficial micro-scratches.

The table's clever construction allows for easy extension, accommodating up to two insert plates. When not in use, these two extension plates can be conveniently stored underneath the tabletop within the frame. With a maximum capacity for two extra plates, the B620 table can transform from a 4-6 seater into an 8-10 seater, and the B619 table can change from a 6-8 seater into a 10-12 seater, making both perfect for hosting parties.

The Superellipse Dining Table features stunning visual symmetry and a distinctive yet understated design, offering ample space for social dining experiences. Designed around a smart, versatile component, the Superellipse Dining Table is not only sturdy and practical but also presents a fresh and unique expression. The minimalist and clean design of the table adds to its versatility, making it suitable for a variety of uses, from dining to work surfaces.

The Superellipse Dining Table is also available as a standard non-extendable model.
