The shell of the Series 7 chair is crafted from pressure-moulded ash veneer, comprising seven inner layers and two outer layers on both the front and back. The base is available in six different colours, while the shell comes in 26 colours. Materials/Construction
Shell - Pressure-moulded veneer, comprising 7 layers of inner veneer and 2 layers of outer veneer on both front and back. Available in PEFC-certified coloured ash. The veneer layers are glued together with water-based urea-formaldehyde glue. Un-upholstered chairs are coated with polyurethane lacquer, which prevents the emission of formaldehyde.
Base - 14mm steel tube base, mounted black support spacers and a black cover cap. Available in chromed steel or powder-coated steel.
Glides - Plastic in black colour.
