Designed by the Danish design studio Moebe, the Round Coffee Table is part of their flat-packed wooden table series. Made with a glass tabletop and solid oak base, the table adds a clean Japanese aesthetic to any space while embracing clever Scandinavian construction techniques.

Featuring a low profile with cross-shaped legs, the table is comprised of one tabletop section, two overlapping leg sections and brass fixings. With its sturdy construction, the glass tabletop gives the illusion that it is floating above the legs. This creates a striking contrast with the solid wooden base. The visible brass screw positioned at the centre not only adds a touch of elegance but also ensures the table's stability. With the anti-slip finish, the legs securely hold the tabletop in place.

The tabletop and base are threaded together piece by piece via a brass screwing mechanism at its centre. Balancing a clever construction with an understated silhouette, the Round Coffee Table fits effortlessly into many interior settings. The table can be placed next to a sofa set or used as a plant table or side table in any room you like. The table is also offered with a rectangular wooden tabletop.

Architects Neergard Christensen, Nicholas Oldroyd and cabinet maker Anders Thams are the founders and designers of Moebe: A Scandinavian design brand based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

At Moebe they design, produce and keep things as simple as possible - Focussing on the essentials with a curious mind and analogue approach. Moebe strive to reduce their designs to the most basic forms, thereby creating intuitive and honest products. One of their first designs 'Frame' has quickly become a modern-day classic. It combines two pieces of acrylic glass, four pieces of wood or metal and a large rubber band to hold it all together. It now graces some of the finest homes, galleries and commercial environments around the world.
