In the lounge chair guise, Monolit is wide and generous. With a 39 cm seat height it is best suited to conversational or relaxed dining environments. Crafted with a plywood shell and foam padding, the chair provides a spacious and comfortable seating experience. The base features a durable powder-coated metal ring with plastic glides to protect the floor and maintain stability.

The Monolit Lounge Chair features a unique base design with a closed back and open front, creating an airy appearance and providing ample legroom. The fully upholstered shell adds a touch of luxury and a cohesive look from all angles. Materials/Construction

Top and base - Plywood shells with foam and full upholstery. The base is finished with a powder-coated metal ring and plastic glides at the bottom.
Leather piping - Harness leather (only applies to CM221 and CM231).

This lounge chair is currently available in the following fabrics - a small selection of which are shown on the product listing. Upholstery is grouped by number 0-5; the higher the number the greater the cost. Please get in touch for a bespoke quote if you would like a fabric listed here which isn't available to buy online.

The natural leather is vegetable-tanned, chrome-free, and has no colour or protective finish. The leather darkens and develops a rich patina with use, showing visible natural markings.

    Cecilie Manz

    Working in furniture, glass, lighting, and ceramics Cecilie Manz has received international acclaim and her designs are sold and exhibited all over the world. She was educated at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and also undertook additional studies at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki.

    Cecilie Manz founded her own studio in Copenhagen in 1998 and has since received numerous awards and honours for her work, including the Crown Prince Couple's Cultural Award and a Three-Year Working Grant from the Danish Arts Foundation. Cecilie has been part of the Muuto family from the very beginning.
