With its sculptural yet highly padded seat, the Fiber Lounge Armchair is ideal for scenarios where there might be long periods of sitting. Part of Muuto's Fiber Collection, this lounge armchair offers a spacious seat and welcoming curves, combining the elegance of the Fiber Series with a softer, more inviting design.
The shell of the Fiber Lounge Armchair is made from 100% recycled plastic derived from post-consumer waste, strengthened with virgin plastic additives. For maximum comfort, the seat, back, and armrests are cushioned with multiple layers of foam and wadding, then covered with soft textile or leather upholstery. The chair is supported by a sturdy powder-coated steel tube base.
Iskos-Berlin on the design: "One of the most difficult and noble disciplines of design is to create simple, well-functioning, and almost ordinary objects that nevertheless have a strong identity. We designed the Fiber Lounge Soft Armchair to do just that. The chair’s sculptural language, paired with its wide and ultra-soft seat, refuses to compromise on comfort and invites the user to sit for hours. The Fiber Soft Armchair enhances the idea of grand comfort through soft wadding and upholstery. The chair’s inner shell uses recycled plastic for a conscious and innovative perspective on materials."
