Materials/Construction

Bench Top - 18 mm plywood with laminate

Bench Base - Untreated solid beech, solid oak or solid beech in water-based lacquered finishes.

Hay furniture is now treated with an eco-friendly water based lacquer, it replaces the options of ‘Matt Lacquer’ and Clear Lacquer’. Visually the ‘Water-Based Lacquer' treatment appears somewhere between the two previous lacquers; more glossy than the matt finish, but not as glossy as the clear lacquer. Where the new treatment is used it will also always be applied to FSC certified wood sourced from sustainable forests. Together the material fulfils the EU Ecolabel requirements.
