The sickest way to welcome a newborn. Illustrated by Cari Vander Yacht in her fun, signature style.
Self-confessed “magpie with a pen” Cari uses inks and a “giant Cintiq” to create imagery imbued with energy and texture. Born and raised in Oregon, based in Brooklyn, and inspired by Tove Jansson, whether in print or animation her work is packed with humour and unexpected takes on convention.

My dear friend is having a baby and this card was perfect to accompany their baby shower present. It is quite an amusing card with a not-so-subtle nod to their future as parents but graphically done in a way that makes you smile. And who knew that your senses could be engaged by a greeting card? The heavier weight feels expensive and the silky cottony texture of the stock is really delicate on your fingers. The front of the card is cut slightly wider than the back which allows the card to spring open, making it effortless. The vegetable-based ink lends to a very, very faint scent that triggers fond memories of something that I can't quite put my finger on which kept me curious enough to keep smelling it. I am really looking forward to buying more cards from Wrap!
Thank you for your review Nora. We think this card is pretty funny too, it really sums up the reality of new parenthood ;)
