Created by Norwegian designer Andreas Bergsaker, the HAY Chisel collection has now expanded to include dining chairs, stools, bar stools and dining tables, creating a timeless family of wooden furniture with a distinctly contemporary look. Named after the classic carpentry tool, Chisel was created from a desire to design solid wooden furniture with a distinctive silhouette that would stand the test of time.
Developed with optimal craftsmanship and ergonomics in mind, the bar stool’s curved seat provides good support in a visually inviting way, with 20 mm foam padding adding an extra layer of comfort. Angled legs echo the chisel reference through their characteristically bevelled edges. Footrests on both sides allow the bar stool to be used comfortably from either direction, while optional footrest protectors can be fitted to both sides to help protect against wear.
Available in a wide variety of wood types and colours, the bar stool is suitable for a range of interiors, from kitchens and dining spaces to bars and other public settings. It is also available without upholstery.
