HAY's 'About A Lounge Chair' (AAL) 82 pairs a softly curved, generous seat, with beautifully rounded solid oak legs. This lounge chair has a welcoming appearance that invites you to sit back and relax. A low back with curved armrests envelops you in a spacious cocoon. While the wide choice of leg finishes and upholsteries means that you can configure unique combinations to fit a wide variety of contexts.
The AAL 82 is constructed from soft moulded polyurethane foam with an internal steel frame construction. A matching seat cushion is an optional extra and is attached with velcro, so you can remove it easily for cleaning. Also available with a moulded plywood frame base (AAL 83) or a swivel base (AAL 81). Pair with the AAL 03 Ottoman for even more comfort.

Hee Welling
Hee Welling is a Danish furniture designer who founded his own studio in Copenhagen in 2003. Welling has received a number of design awards, including the Bo Bedre Award (Denmark), Good Design Award (USA) and has been nominated as the Danish designer of the year in both 2013 and 2014.
Welling is the son of a cabinetmaker, and his fascination with production techniques, materials and machinery began as a child. He went on to study at The University of Art and Design in Helsinki, and received his master’s degree in furniture design from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (where he also now tutors). His work is characterised by a great sense of proportion and...
