The base is available in four different finishes and the post-consumer recycled plastic shell is offered in a wide palette of contemporary colours, providing a multitude of design combinations that give this series versatility in a wide range of home, corporate and public contexts. The optional AAC seat pads provide extra comfort. It is also available with a fully upholstered seat.

Materials/Construction
Shell - Injection moulded solid-coloured polypropylene shell without armrest. 100% post-consumer recycled PP.
Base - Moulded plywood base. Inner plywood in beech, top veneer in water-based (eco-friendly) lacquered oak, black lacquered oak or lacquered walnut.
Glider - Plastic. Suitable for all floorings that are not too sensitive.
The shells consist of 100% recycled post-consumer plastic from household machines. The use of recycled material means that colours vary slightly from batch to batch. Marks and irregularities on the surface are a natural part of the material and may occur.
Among HAY's ongoing initiatives to reduce their ecological footprint, is the introduction of water-based lacquer on a selection of their wooden furniture. The environmental benefits are clear – the new lacquer does not contain any harmful substances and is used on FSC wood sourced from sustainable forests. The lacquer fulfils all the EU Ecolabel requirements.

Hee Welling
Hee Welling is a Danish furniture designer who founded his own studio in Copenhagen in 2003. Welling has received a number of design awards, including the Bo Bedre Award (Denmark), Good Design Award (USA) and has been nominated as the Danish designer of the year in both 2013 and 2014.
Welling is the son of a cabinetmaker, and his fascination with production techniques, materials and machinery began as a child. He went on to study at The University of Art and Design in Helsinki, and received his master’s degree in furniture design from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (where he also now tutors). His work is characterised by a great sense of proportion and...
