Designed by TAF Architects for Muuto, the 70/70 collection now extends into outdoor settings. Retaining the original 70/70 table's legs and silhouette, the outdoor version maintains the minimalist design, marked by the airy expression of the mahogany planks which form the tabletop. This versatile table is perfect for dining or any other outdoor asocial events, and its clever leg design maximises space for both people and chairs underneath.
Constructed with a powder-coated aluminium base and an FSC-certified Sapele Mahogany wood tabletop, this table is not only stylish but also durable. Inherently resistant to outdoor wear and tear, the solidity of dense Mahogany wood reinforces the table's robustness. Thanks to high-quality materials, the table is versatile enough for both outdoor and indoor use. Its extra-long spans are made possible through high-density solid wood construction, reinforced by a rigid steel bar hidden beneath the tabletop. The exposed solid table edge is bevelled at a very shallow angle, making the table appear to be lighter and thinner than it is in reality.
Over time, the table is designed to develop a naturally unique wood patina as it ages. The warm brown colour will gradually soften to a light brown or silver tone. It can be treated with wood oil to enhance some of the wood's natural red hues, or left to age naturally.
