The scent of a fresh rose relaxes and strengthens. Roses were widely used medicinally in ancient times and are one of the fundamental symbols of alchemy with many manuscripts called ‘Rosarium’ meaning Rose Garden. In alchemical drawings, the rose garden represents a symbol of sacred space such as a place in nature, a meditation chamber or an altar. Influenced by alchemical theory, the Roses essence was created to impart a feeling of calm and well-being, a sacred space.

Everything that goes into an Essence + Alchemy candle is listed on the packaging: plant wax, essential oils and a natural wood wick, which when lit will crackle and glow giving out a warm glow and calming, aromatic scent. Nothing else goes into these candles - no synthetic fragrances, no additives, just pure and natural botanical goodness.

Always mindful of the environment, Essence + Alchemy's minimal packaging is made from 100% recycled card. The hand-blown borosilicate glass jar is recyclable and more importantly reusable  - why not use your jar afterwards for a small potted plant, tea light holder, or a place for pencils and pens.
