Fritz Hansen's Plank Chair is a simple, modern and playful design crafted from solid FSC-certified untreated teak. From the top of the backrest runs two horizontal planks, ideal for placing a glass of wine, small flowerpots or a lantern at night.
Plank Chair is designed by Aurélien Barbry, an industrial and interior designer, who graduated from École Camondo in Paris in 1997. After working for seven years as a designer for the French top architect Jean Nouvel, he has worked for companies like Alessi, Cori, Ecruis & Raynaud, Menu, Georg Jensen and Normann Copenhagen. Barbry has designed among other things hotel rooms, furniture and kitchen tools.
The Plank series also includes a Bench.
