Originally designed to re-use surplus wooden shipping pallets, renowned Dutch architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld created the Crate Collection in 1934. The design has now been reimagined by HAY using high quality joinery pine wood. Rietveld designed the Crate series as an inexpensive alternative to expensive furniture during the economic crisis of the time. Made with respect to the original design, the HAY Crate Collection shares the same strength and precisely balanced proportions with honest construction to minimise production costs and optimise the assembly process.

Featuring a square tabletop and diagonal crossbars, the table's simplicity and spatial design mirror the designer's architectural style providing functionality and versatility. Crafted with FSC-certified solid pinewood with 3 layers of lacquer finish, the Crate Low Table is suitable for both outdoor and indoor use. We suggest pairing the Crate Low Table with a Crate Lounge Chair or Dining Chair to complete the look.

The Crate Low Table is available in five different colour finishes and comes fully assembled.
