Tom Pigeon

Based in Fife, Scotland, Tom Pigeon is a creative studio founded by Pete and Kirsty Thomas in 2014. They met and started working as designers in the early 1990’s and since then have worked across design disciplines, for small companies and big business, designing all kinds of stuff for lots of different people. As Tom Pigeon they design simple things for people to enjoy including prints, jewellery and stationery. They created Tom Pigeon to make the kind of things they would like to own and live with.

The studio is inspired by the colours, shapes, lines and sounds that rural Scottish life offers up. Cellardyke harbour is close to the studio and one of their favourite places. "We swim there (sometimes), light fires on the beach, toast Christmas day there, or just sit on the benches soaking up the sun". The harbour wall is incredible - massive blocks of patterned stone carefully knitted together over a hundred years ago and still able to hold back huge waves and winter storms.
