Based on the original Rey Collection designed by Swiss designer Bruno Rey in 1971, HAY has teamed up with Dietiker to relaunch the Rey Stool. Featuring Dietiker's unique 'screwless' wood-to-metal connection, the iconic stool has an uncluttered silhouette with angled legs that balance the distinctively rounded edges.

With a solid construction, high strength and stackable design, The Rey stool has everything required to make it suitable for use in a wide variety of domestic, public or corporate settings. The Rey Low Stool provides simple and reliable seating and thanks to the flat top it can also be used as a side table, offering versatile use in any environment. Made in solid wood, it is available in original colours, as well as new tones selected by HAY.

    Bruno Rey

    This product is designed by
    Bruno Rey

Bruno Rey was born in 1933 Brugg, Switzerland. After an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker, he studied at the Zurich School of Applied Arts, where he attended classes with the pioneering designer Willy Guhl. He opened his own studio in 1968, working on an innovative chair design that was mass produced in 1971 by Dietiker in Stein am Rhein. 3300 as the chair was originally called, later became known as Rey, the most successful Swiss chair of all time. HAY has collaborated with Dietiker to present the Rey Collection by Bruno Rey, comprising the Rey Chair, Rey Stool and Bar Stool, and Rey Table and Coffee Table.
